We have a fully staffed nursery during most Salem Church of Christ events and classes. Our Nursery attendants keep an eye on your little ones as they come to know Jesus through free play, age appropriate Bible stories, snack time and music. We also have a crib/feeding room which is accessible through the door next to the nursery if you want to feed your baby in a quiet place or if your child needs to take a nap during the service. For more information or to join our nursery team; contact Kirsty Foster or sign up outside the nursery.
9am Sunday School
Preschool Class (Ages 3-kindergarten)
Teachers: Cathy Anthony & Patsy Stewart
Our preschool class starts to learn about the Bible and develop a familiarity with the different characters in it. They learn that the Bible is made up of verses and chapters, how to pray and that one of the main ways that we worship God is through singing and dancing.
Sunday School Grades 1-5
Teacher: Barbara Reynolds
In Sunday School Grades 1-5, our children learn to experience the Bible in a more in depth way as they prepare to become teens. They look at the characters they are familiar with in new ways and cover stories that might not have been covered in younger classes because of the more complex messages involved.
Sunday 10am: Journey Worship
Elementary Teachers: Sandy Workman, Kathy Campbell, Mindy Kawa, Debbie Flinchum
Preschool Group Teachers : Michelle Pagans. Julia Anthony, Brittney Campensa, Mason King, Debbie Morris, Nelda Murphy
Grades 1 through 5 join the adults during worship time in the adult service and then head upstairs where they are joined by the preschool class. The preschool class is located in their classroom upstairs during worship time. The kids watch a DVD of a Christian Bible Story together, after which the preschoolers return to their room for playtime and Grades 1 through 5 either have a group discussion or an activity together centered around the message from the story.
Wednesday Night Crew
Teacher: Kirsty Foster
Our Wednesday night program runs from 6pm-7pm. We focus on getting back to the basics with the kids. We have group prayer time and a Bible Story. Then we focus on having fun and developing good friendships through either an activity or free play. During the Summer of Service we either help the adults or work on projects of our own.
