We all experience the loss of a loved one at some point during the course of life, and indeed we all go through the process of grieving.
We feel no one should have to make this journey alone so we are starting a GriefShare Support Group right here in Salem.
**Please be aware our GriefShare Support Group that was to begin meeting in April has now been Cancelled**
Our next Support Group will start on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 and continue weekly on Tuesdays, for thirteen consecutive weeks ending on
November 24th, 2020. There is a $15.00 registration fee for materials and participants will need to contact the Church Office to register
Cost: $15.00 Workbook included (Scholarships available)
We look forward to seeing you at our GriefShare Group, and want you to know that you are welcome to begin
attending at any point. Each session is "self contained," so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will be able to pick up
any sessions you missed in our next 13-week cycle. We will base our cancellation policy on Salem City Schools.
If they cancel school, or have early dismissal we will also cancel our meeting for that evening.
To register please call the Church Office 540-389-2400. For more information call Larry Campbell 540-819-0370.
What is Griefshare?
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You
don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
How Griefshare Works:
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend,
you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”
GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare
session has three distinct elements:
Video Seminar with Experts | Support Group Discussion | Personal Study & Reflection
