Local Missions

We believe that it's not simply the church leaders' responsibility to take care of those around us in need. Rather, we are all called to provide for, and build up those around us who need help. To that end, there are many people who lead many different projects for our local community. Here are some of the most recent ones:

Collecting money to be donated to a non-profit providing necessities for families of troops that have been deployed.

Collecting hats, mittens and gloves that were distributed locally to low-income families in need during the winter season.

We participate in "Angel Tree" each year. Many members of our church get information about a low-income child. They go shopping and get to help make Christmas special for that child.

Each year we get to provide free cookies, and hot drinks to hundreds of people attending the Salem Christmas Parade with their family.

We organize a "Fall Carnival" for the community on Halloween. Each year hundreds of local families come and get Halloween candy, free hot drinks, popcorn, and hot dogs. We also provide games for kids, and coffee for parents! Families enjoy having a fun, safer alternative for Halloween night.

Between our Ladies Ministry, Men's Ministry, Youth, Joy Circle and Children's Ministries - there are definitely opportunities for you to work with us to make a difference in this community in the name of God.

If you have general questions about how you might be able to fit in - helping and serving along side us - contact our Youth Minister, Taylor Plott. There is a place for you here.
