An in depth look into the book of Revelation
Many things are said about this book in the popular press today, but how accurate are they?
What was John trying to convey through this unusual work? How should John’s message affect our lives today? Join us for this Sunday School hour class, recorded live and taught by our Senior Minister, Eric G. Evans. |
This class is intentionally comprehensive and builds on itself. We begin with several weeks of background study into the socio-political and religious context of the time when John wrote this wonderful work. It will be hard to understand the mode of study if you just pick a session at random. It is highly recommended that you begin with the first class and take each session in order.
This class was taught and recorded live. If you live in the Roanoke Valley, we would love for you to come by and worship with us. Study guides are available for each class. Contact us at 540-389-2400 or [email protected] and we will gladly send them to you. If you have a question or would like to share your feedback, contact Preacher Eric at [email protected].

Revelation 20 – Judgment, Pt 2
{9/10/17} Eric G Evans speaking.
This week we take time to look at the three major views of the millennial periods mentioned in Revelation 20. We are talking about differences in scripture interpretation, not about the salvation of any who hold to any particular view. There are good, God fearing, Christ loving people who hold to each view. This area of interpretation is not so much a problem to be solved, as it is a tension to be managed.
This study builds on itself and may not follow the hermeneutic you are used to using. I get that. The methodology and supporting argument for it is explained in the early lessons of this study. For proper context and understanding, please begin with the 1st lesson, “Revelation Intro Part 1.” Thanks!
