Taylor Plott

After attending and graduating from Harding University, Taylor served the people of Boston, Massachusetts for seven years through his ministry work. Taylor was eager to move closer to his family in North Carolina while they had a young son and a baby on the way. He also had a strong desire to continue serving God in Ministry, this is why he ​moved to Salem in July 2013 to become our Youth Minister. In 202o, he transitioned into becoming our Full-Time Senior Minister. Taylor serves our Church and community now with his beautiful wife, Meghan. He also has three remarkable children; Ally, Caleb, and Jonah. Some of his favorite activities are spending time with his wife and children, DIY projects around the house, hiking, and traveling (mostly dreaming of traveling and watching shows about it). We are immensely grateful for all of his work at Salem Church of Christ!

Nate Parker

​Nate attended and graduated from Johnson University. He moved to Salem in 2023 to become the Associate Minister over Youth and Family here at Salem Church of Christ. He moved along with his beautiful wife, Sarah and their energetic dog, Dolly. He enjoys going on hikes, watching sports on TV, and eating good food. He is passionate about walking alongside teenagers in their Faith so they grow to become strong and faithful Christians. We are blessed to have someone so passionate about our Youth growing in Christ!

The Church (building and body)

​We are a church that loves people and loves God's word. We don't compromise when God's word convicts, but we always teach with compassion and love - we're all in this family together. We've been here in Salem, Virginia for over 100 years! We recently updated much of our interior to create a warm and welcoming environment. We're a neighborhood church. We aren't an extravagant church, but we are a place that feels like family, and we want you to feel like family when you're here. We value taking care of the community around us. If you're a member here, we expect everyone to find their place to serve in the kingdom of God. If you're willing, we'll help you find your spot!
